Welcome to wednesday.bot ("the Service"). These Terms govern your use of the website, chat agent, API, CLI, and MCP server. By connecting a mailbox or running any query, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Beta status
wednesday.bot is currently in beta. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Data held during the beta period is best-effort — do not use the Service as the sole system of record for anything important.
2. Accounts and sessions
During the beta, sessions are anonymous — created in your browser with a short-lived access token. Losing that token (clearing cookies, switching browsers) loses access to your connected mailboxes and conversations. When paid plans go live, optional account upgrade will persist sessions across devices.
3. What you give us
- IMAP / SMTP credentials for mailboxes you voluntarily connect. Stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a two-tier envelope key. Decrypted only on your backend during an authenticated tool call. Never transmitted to the language model.
- Conversation content and task prompts. Stored to power chat history and improve reliability.
4. What we do on your behalf
The agent can perform the following actions against your connected mailboxes:
- Read messages and attachments.
- Search, label, move, and archive messages.
- Draft and send replies or new messages via SMTP.
- Delete messages.
Destructive actions (send, delete, move out of a folder) always require your explicit confirmation in the UI before the Service executes them. You are responsible for the actions you approve.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Send spam, bulk unsolicited email, or any material that violates applicable law.
- Access mailboxes you are not authorized to access.
- Reverse-engineer, attack, or probe the Service beyond responsible security disclosure.
- Resell or sublicense the Service without written agreement.
- Process mail-data of third parties in a way that violates your agreements with them.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations without notice. We will cooperate with valid legal requests.
6. Credits and billing
Certain actions consume credits. Credits are non-refundable once debited, except where required by law. Monthly subscription credits do not roll over between billing cycles. One-time credit packs remain on your account until used. Pricing and plan features may change with 30 days' notice for existing subscribers.
7. No warranty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee that the agent's output is accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific decision — including legal, financial, or medical decisions. Review what the agent does before acting on it.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WEDNESDAY.BOT OR ITS OPERATORS BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
9. Third-party services
The agent relies on third-party model providers (e.g., Anthropic) and infrastructure providers (e.g., Supabase, Railway). Your prompts and the results of your tool calls may be sent to these providers as necessary to run the agent loop. See the Privacy Policy for specifics.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email (where applicable). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
